Warm weather has brought some relief to our sheltering in place and we’re finding it easier to keep occupied and healthy and happy. In our home, we’ve made a point to spend more time outside whether it’s doing yard work or shooting a basketball. We’ve also been cooking at home a lot more and finding it much easier to eat healthy and choose foods that feed our health rather than just satiate our cravings.
Who knew that a worldwide pandemic would be the big push that got me to be more open about what being active looks like, along with really refocusing on our diet. A pragmatic approach to both budget and health at a time like this is beneficial for the long and short term and I am hoping to continue this strengthening habit.
While these are certainly positives from the quarantine, I have certainly felt the pressures of adapting to these changes from a business perspective and find that mindset and adapting daily is vital to staying well.
In addition? It’s become non-negotiable to me to be ok with taking time out. Even though I am not out actively helping buyers and sellers right now, I am still meeting with homeowners and clients online to answer questions and concerns and assist with real estate plans. And of course, there is all the stuff behind the scenes that we are working on to always be giving a well-rounded experience.
At the end of the day though, I am working to make sure I give myself rest. Sometimes, it’s OK and healthy to take time out and say that today, maybe you’ve had enough.
Good health, good wealth and much happiness to you!
